Job Title: Grain Risk Specialist (13 Month Term)
Location: Head Office – Winnipeg (On Site)
The Grain Risk Specialist is primarily responsible for preparing and distributing risk management reports to ensure compliance with Financial Risk Management Policies. They also ensure risk of market, financial, credit and operational risks are mitigated through analysis and internal control monitoring.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Post-second degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA) (completed or in progress).
  • Financial Risk Management designation (FRM) (is an asset).
  • Minimum 3- 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in the Agriculture industry is an asset.
  • Advanced MS Excel, Access Database and reporting.
  • VBA and SQL computing languages

Responsibilities
  • Prepares and communicates risk information and analyses to senior management through daily and weekly reporting.
  • Prepares necessary compliance reporting for internal and external regulatory bodies related to grain trading and financial derivatives.
  • Liaises with Trading and Finance to monitor and ensure potential financial and operational risks are communicated and effectively managed.
  • Performs analysis of financial statements related to trading of financial derivatives.
  • Create, implement, and monitor tools used to manage financial risks created by business operations
  • Participate in projects related to financial, market, or operational risks.
  • Supports the Risk Analyst position as needed.
  • Supports other business strategies and initiatives as required.
