Job Description Main accountabilities : The G&O Marketer will be responsible for managing the Spain and Portugal ex-store (grains and oilseeds) trading book in coordination with the Head of Grains and Oilseeds. Perform the daily tasks related to cash activities, including but not limited to updating physical positions, entering trade contracts, tracking customer hedges and ensuring compliance with internal systems, following vessel line-ups, and making sure all databases are accurately updated. Carry out daily control/reporting of positions and hedges Conduct market research and balance sheet analysis Market intelligence: gather and feed the Grains and Oilseeds’ platforms with local market information (supply, demand, prices, competition, trends) Negotiate and manage trades beyond the conclusion of the business, such as following up on logistics, invoice payments, and credit risk exposure. Communicate on a daily basis with the customer portfolio in order to figure out the market needs and to discuss local market dynamics and how it might effect the trade flows. Explore potential trading opportunities by combining the global trade flow perspectives with our local dynamics. Fluent communication with global traders is necessary. Identify arbitrage opportunities and start taking positions on the local market. Knowledge and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with specialization in agronomy, animal nutrition, engineering, finance & economics, business 5 years’ Commercial experience, added advantage if in the Agricultural, feed, animal nutrition, or trading sectors. Fluent in Spanish and English, as well as a third language, will be a plus Excel proficiency is a must; VBA, R, or similar modelling/programming will be a plus.
