This role includes financial reporting, monitoring expenditures, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure proper administration of grants and awards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Grant Accounting & Budgeting: Maintain and monitor grant budgets and expenditures. Provide financial guidance and ensure effective resource utilization. Assist in budget preparation and modifications. Grant Compliance & Financial Transactions: Ensure grant expenses comply with regulations and are properly recorded. Process financial transactions, including drawdowns and transfers. Maintain accurate records of grant activities and expenditures. Financial Reporting & Reconciliation: Prepare and submit required financial reports. Reconcile financial records to ensure accuracy. Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements. Indirect Costs & Payroll Adjustments: Process and allocate indirect costs billings and transfers Process and check accuracy of payroll expense allocations to grants. Ensure accurate posting of financial transactions. Prepare Indirect cost proposal for submission to negotiations Audit & Year-End Responsibilities: Assist with audits and ensure compliance with grant requirements. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for auditors. Prepare accurate Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards. Grant Administration & Monitoring: Set up and manage new grants in the accounting system. Track reporting deadlines and compliance requirements. Provide support to program directors and agencies. Other Responsibilities: Attend grant monitoring and financial reviews. Assist with training and financial oversight. Generate and review financial reports. Work with Compliance Officer on reporting and compliance questions. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REPORTING: Reports to the Executive Financial Officer and Assistant Director. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift ten (10) lbs. Must be able to sit and stand for long intervals. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Office setting with periodic travel for site visits and training. • May require extended hours during reporting deadlines and auditsQualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in grant management, fund accounting, or financial reporting. Strong knowledge of OMB guidelines, federal grant compliance, and financial reporting standards. Experience working with government agencies and grant-funded programs preferred. Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
