Are we the road to your future? We are currently searching for an experienced QA/QC Specialist Level 2 to support our Program Management Group located in Alabama. The QA/QC Specialist is responsible for ensuring all program files, documentation, and processes comply with federal, state, and program-specific requirements for the federally funded program. This role plays a critical part in maintaining audit readiness and ensuring program integrity. What you’ll be doing: * Conduct detailed quality assurance/quality control reviews of program files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance * Verify documentation aligns with applicable regulations (e.g., 2 CFR Part 200, program policies, and state requirements) * Review intake and eligibility files prior to approval * Identify deficiencies and issue corrective actions with clear guidance to staff * Track QA/QC findings, trends, and recurring issues * Support audit preparation and monitoring reviews * Collaborate with intake and program staff to resolve documentation gaps * Assist in developing and refining QA/QC procedures and checklists What you need to have: * Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) * 3+ years of experience in grant programs, compliance, QA/QC, or program monitoring * Strong understanding of documentation standards and regulatory compliance * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines * Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) Bonus points if you have: * Experience with federally funded programs (e.g., ARPA, CDBG, FEMA, or similar) * Experience supporting audits or monitoring reviews * Familiarity with case management or grants management systems (e.g., Salesforce) * Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines effectively * Problem-solving and process improvement mindset Why Volkert?
