Overview GKG is seeking a Grant Specialist to join our team in support of USAID. The specialist will provide expert guidance on the procedural, legal, and operational requirements for terminating grants, ensuring compliance with USAID and U.S. Government regulations. This is a hybrid, full-time role working closely with Agreement Officers (AOs), legal counsel, technical offices, and partners. Note: This position is posted in anticipation of a contract award and may become available in the future. Responsibilities Perform financial administration functions including expenditure review, and reimbursement processing. Maintain a high level of commitment while tending to multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail. Coordinates with the AO when problems or conflicts occur that might impact the timely completion of work. Collaborate with grant recipients and AO to ensure all closeout actions are completed. Compose closeout letters (as applicable) for dissemination to grant recipients. Review and process actions necessary for proper closeout of Federal awards. Process actions in USAID’s grants and financial management system. Request and review final indirect cost rate agreements, as necessary. Perform final review of completed awards and required reports and make recommendations to the AO. Review financial reports submitted by grant recipients and verify accuracy of financial report; recommend follow-up actions to the AO as applicable. Ensure completeness of grants file and track closeout actions. Monitor the status of the de-obligation of Federal funds. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Capability to quickly assimilate new information and become proficient in topics for which they may not have knowledge, e.g. Government to Government, Title II, Interagency Awards, and Public International Organizations.
