Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Grant Coordinator.
As a Grant Coordinator at MercyOne you will be responsible for management, execution and facilitation of grant opportunities at House of Mercy. Work directly with the House of Mercy Director, MercyOne Foundation and the House of Mercy grant Outreach Specialist to assist with monitoring grant expenditures, data collection, and outcome reporting in Iowa’s online grant system to meet grant deadlines. This position will primarily work in Polk County, however, travel to Jasper and Warren counties may be required to achieve goals.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Provides information/referral assistance, individual/group treatment services, connects clients to recover support, and performs required client follow-up/evaluation interviews.
• Screens, case-manages, and provide services to clients participating in grant covered services.
• Admits and serves the minimum number of clients required by each grant.
• Works with Outreach Grant Coordinator to collaborate with referral sources and community support.
• Manage recovery support services (RSS) for clients admitted to the grant programs
• Completes all grant reports and data entry for clients admitted into the grant.
• Utilizes screening tools that are evidence-based or required by HHS and coordinates as needed.
• Participates in timely reporting of Department and Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) data.
• Provides enrolled participants with the minimum recovery support service per the HHS approved work plan monthly.
• Ensure enrolled participants maintain grant eligibility through participation in SUD services by collaborating with SUD and MH counselors at House of Mercy.
• Participates in all scheduled training and meetings with Department and HOM treatment team to ensure grant and individual client goals are met.

EDUCATION:

• Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of SUD, as normally obtained through a bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field, and 1-3 years of experience in SUD counseling or residential treatment.
• Valid Driver’s License/ may be required to obtain a Chauffeurs License within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to work with at-risk populations.
• The ability to understand substances uses disorder terminology and communicate effectively with treatment, medical and community professionals.
