Description DEFINITION The Grant Coordinator supports Woodhaven Learning Center’s development efforts by coordinating day-to-day grant activities across the full grants lifecycle, including research, proposal development, tracking, compliance, and reporting. Working under the direction of the Grants Manager, the Grant Coordinator plays a critical operational role in maintaining grant systems, ensuring deadlines are met, supporting cross-department collaboration, and strengthening internal grant processes. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong writing and organizational skills who is ready to take ownership of grant coordination responsibilities while continuing to build expertise in nonprofit development and institutional fundraising. EXAMPLES OF WORK DUTIES Coordinate and support the preparation and submission of foundation, corporate, and government grant applications Maintain the grant funding calendar, tracking deadlines, reporting requirements, and follow-up activities Conduct grant prospect research and assist in identifying new funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities Draft, edit, and format grant narratives, budgets, and attachments under the guidance of the Grants Manager Gather, organize, and maintain supporting documentation for grant applications and reports Enter and update grant data in the project management and tracking systems Monitor grant compliance requirements and support timely submission of interim and final reports Collaborate with program, finance, and development staff to collect data and outcomes for reporting Support internal grant workflow improvements and documentation of grant processes Participate in development team meetings and cross-departmental coordination related to grants Maintain confidentiality and represent Woodhaven Learning Center in a professional and positive manner Perform other duties as assigned Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience 1–3 years of experience in grant writing, nonprofit development, or a related administrative role Strong writing, editing, and research skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with CRM, grant management, or project management software preferred Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously Strong organizational, time management, and follow-through skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work in a standard office environment, including prolonged periods of sitting Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and office equipment Occasional lifting of files or materials up to 25 pounds
