POSITION SUMMARY

The Grants Specialist will provide comprehensive support to the State in administering and overseeing federally funded Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) programs and related infrastructure and housing initiatives. This position includes technical assistance to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, support for program implementation, financial management, procurement, reporting, and monitoring.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with CDBG, HUD programs, or federal grants administration.
  • Experience supporting disaster recovery efforts (CDBG-DR, CDBG-MIT).
  • Familiarity with grant policies and procedures.
  • Prior experience working with counties or municipalities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200, 24 CFR 570, federal crosscutting requirements, and state procurement laws.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and grant management software.
