New Chef Fashion is a proud women-owned, fast-paced, fashion-oriented, in-house manufacturer for culinary/industrial wear for high-end global brands. We are based in Vernon, California and have been in business for over 30 years. In this position, you will be working closely with our Senior Designer, Lead Fashion Designers, & Print Technicians to complete custom apparel wear with the artwork/logos provided by clients. We are dedicated to serving the Culinary, Hospitality, Military, Entertainment and Gaming Industry. This position is tailored for individuals who are adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, such as email campaigns, render requests, push notifications, and blog content, with some photography tasks as needed. While creativity is important, the ability to effectively manage projects and tasks is paramount.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Graphic Designer at New Chef, your role will play a direct and essential part in helping the company achieve its mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that each project assigned to them is completed to the highest standard. These standards will not only be reflected in your day-to-day duties but will translate into the overall quality of the designs themselves. The Graphic Designer is a vital component of the Design process, as they are responsible for the backend for ensuring the customer’s vision is met promptly. Additionally, the Graphic Designer role is an important liaison between Sales, Clients and the Senior Designer. The Designer’s role will vary based on the Projects needed. Finally, as a Graphic Designer at New Chef, we expect you to be an advocate for upholding Company standards and to exemplify professionalism in relation to Clients, Vendors and Employees. This will be demonstrated through your unwavering commitment to the Projects and New Chef.

EDUCATION:

• Associate (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

• Adobe Experience in Adobe InDesign (Preferred)
• Adobe Photoshop: 3 years (Preferred)
• Adobe Illustrator: 3 years (Preferred)

• Designing prints and layouts, including banners, specialty items, social media, and sales support assets.
• Developing, refining, and finalizing creative assets for both print & digital platforms, including product logos, custom type, graphics, textile patterns, marketing collateral (sell sheets, flyers, catalogs), and social media graphics.
• Ability to photograph apparel for digital e-commerce mockups.
• Responsible for setup of designs for Sublimation, Embroidery, DTF, and Screen Printing.
• Create computer comp mockups and presentations.
• Optimizing and editing logos, illustrations, and layouts as needed.
• Retouching and editing images in Photoshop as needed.
• Supporting the team in brainstorming and conceptualizing new creative ideas.
• Staying up to date with design trends, tools, and best practices.
