Description

Clearance Level: Must be US Citizen and able to obtain an Active Secret /TS Clearance.

THERE ARE A FEW REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Must be a U.S Citizen- Must be able to obtain an interim Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
  • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
  • Must be within 100 miles of worksite (Lexington, MA)

DESCRIPTION:

Conceives, designs, lays out, and coordinates editorial illustrations and creative artwork. Develops interpretive themes that convey ideas and information. Creates graphic presentations that communicate mood, emphasis, insight, viewpoint, and similar visual impressions. Provides guidance on graphic technology. Works closely with internal company contacts to understand requirements and create cost efficient graphic designs through available mediums. May provide computer graphic services for web artwork. May also have responsibility or input on reproduction and printing processes through in-house resources or outside vendors.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years Graphic Design
  • 5 years Presentation Design, Poster Design, Document Design, Technical Illustrations, and Photo Manipulation
  • 5 years Visual Design (Technical Content)
  • 5 years Understands and Executes Project Requirements
  • 5 years Work with Cross-Functional Teams
  • Self-motivated and Ability to Work with Little Direction
  • 5 years Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)
  • 5 years MS Suite (Excel, ppt)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BFA in Communication Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of visual design experience
  • Strong concept, design and layout skills
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work successfully one-on-one with technical staff as well as thrive in a team environment
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) applications in Mac or Windows environments

Aquila is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The team is looking for a Graphic Designer that will primarily be responsible for creating effective visual products that clearly communicate the ongoing accomplishments of the group. Working with highly technical material and staff, the artist will translate various inputs into designs for both technical audiences and lay people The artist will also manage a range of graphics and administrative resources as well as time-sensitive projects, while keeping them organized and accessible to themselves and to stakeholders.
