JOB SUMMARY

As Graphic Design and Creative Specialist, you will determine how to communicate key agency messages effectively through visual design in high-impact communications products with broad public exposure.
You will create and produce accessible design products and publications in various mediums using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products. You will consult on design projects, supporting teams across MDE with their design needs. You will also edit and provide closed captioning for agency videos.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide planning and project management expertise for agency visual design projects.
  • Provide visual design and development services for key projects across the agency.
  • Provide expertise in digital accessibility for visual design.
  • Design and develop communication products to support critical business needs.
  • Edit and closed caption video.

This opportunity with start September 2025 and will end on/around December 2025.

Three (3) years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or a related field
OR
A bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or a related field

Professional experience must include:

  • At least one year of graphic design work
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multiple years of graphic design work
  • Experience with digital accessibility, especially that meeting Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level A and AA
  • Experience editing videos
