JOB DESCRIPTION:

As our Graphic Design & Digital Communications Specialist, you’ll play a key role within the Marketing team by executing the creation of graphic content for marketing communications, email campaigns, social media content, brochures and point of sale & promotional materials to support the company’s sales objectives and goals. This will be a mixture of B2B and B2C orientated content, material and media across several different industry sectors and brands.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager and collaborating with the rest of the marketing and sales teams, you will use your creative flair and design skills to effectively and engagingly communicate with our differing target markets to help drive the continued growth of the company.
In line with our rapid growth over the past 5 years and our aggressive expansion plans, there will be frequent opportunities to stretch your creative legs on additional design & visual lead projects, along with input into the continued building of our house brand WULF Optics.
The role could equally well suit an applicant looking to start their career in in digital graphic design & marketing post training/education, as it could a seasoned professional in the field. Career development and growth opportunities will be available for the right applicant.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Skilled in Adobe CC applications, particularly the core apps Photoshop and Illustrator. InDesign experience is also a plus.
  • Experience in email marketing platforms and social media management tools is a strong benefit, but not absolutely necessary.
  • Ability to demonstrate a history of working on design/graphic/visual projects, either by educational/training portfolio or professional examples.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and best practices.
  • Excellent written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to create engaging and visually appealing content.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.) to track performance is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Graphic Design:
  • Creating graphic web asset content, such as banners, ads, etc.
  • Design of materials such as brochures, flyers and Point of Sale material. Ensuring output is delivered to production ready industry standards.
  • Creation of exhibition and trade show large format graphics and branding.
  • Graphic & Image content for Email & Social Media Marketing as below.
  • Email Marketing:
  • Creating and managing email campaigns (newsletters, promotions, product updates, etc.) to a schedule created by the Marketing & Sales Managers.
  • Analyse email performance and recommend improvements to increase open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
  • Maintain and grow email subscriber lists, ensuring segmentation and personalisation.
  • Ensure email content aligns with various brand voices and marketing goals.
  • Social Media Marketing:
  • Assist in creating, curating, and scheduling content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), backing up and expanding upon the range of marketing activations employed.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster community interaction.
  • Monitor social media trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Help analyse social media metrics and adjust content strategies accordingly.
  • Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment across channels.
  • Prepare regular reports on email and social media performance, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
