We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Graphic Designer/Account Rep to join our team. We are located in Windsor, Ontario and are hiring a part-time graphic designer that could become full time. The industry is seasonal with full-time hours during our two peak busy seasons in the spring and fall and part time hours in the summer and winter.
We are looking for someone who can take direction from spoken and written ideas and convert them into running bib designs. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• College diploma or University degree in graphic design or similar program preferred
• One year of graphic design experience
• Experience using Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Self-motivated to maintain and improve design standards with an understanding of design rules (typography and colours) and a strong attention to detail
• Manage and prioritize multiple tight deadlines with high quality results
• Attention to detail and strong multi-tasking skills are required
• Must possess a good understanding of file preparation for digital and print applications
• Digital prepress experience considered an asset
• Ability to grasp client needs and consider practical applications
• Customer service experience, specifically via email and over the phone, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Willing to listen to feedback and incorporate suggestions in order to improve

• Design and layout artwork for race bibs, print ads, flyers, catalogues
• Ability to oversee projects from conception through to product shipping
• Maintain effective communication with customers via email and over the phone for orders from conception through to payment
• Work in conjunction with other co-workers to produce an efficient working environment
• Design and layout projects for internal use, such as price lists, interactive PDF forms, and brochures
• Create company related marketing and branding projects, including print and advertising
• Develop logos and make adjustments and colour corrections using Illustrator and Photoshop
• Create proofs ensuring accuracy and adherence to established design standards
• Prepare digital files for print production
• Post-production (cutting/packaging/shipping)
• Other duties and special projects as assigned including web design, if qualified, and the willingness to handle other aspects of the business
