Description

GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Remember the thrill of seeing your favourite toy in a shop window or catalogue, and dreaming about it for days? At Bigjigs Toys, we create those moments of wonder – and we’re looking for a meticulous, creative Graphic Designer to help us bring our award-winning toys to life through eye-catching, technically sound packaging.
Working closely with our Graphic Design Lead, and a creative team of 7, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality packaging artwork that’s as playful as it is precise. You’ll also support the design of marketing materials, catalogues, and web assets to ensure our brand looks brilliant across every touchpoint.
Bigjigs Toys is a fast paced puzzle, gift and wooden toy wholesaler supplying a fantastic range of traditional toys into independent toy & gift shops and direct to consumers. Started in 1985 by Peter & Liz Ireland the company has grown from a garden shed outfit into a multinational operation supplying goods to shops in over 40 countries around the world. Have a google, we’re sure you’ll be suitably impressed. We employ approximately 50 dedicated individuals, mostly all based here in sunny Folkestone.

Responsibilities
  • Creating, preparing, and amending packaging artwork using Adobe Illustrator, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and technical specifications.
  • Designing and delivering new product packaging for all branded item ranges.
  • Liaising with factories in the Far East to oversee packaging production, assisted by the Graphic Lead.
  • Reviewing packaging samples, print-ready artwork, and printer proofs – taking responsibility for digital sign-offs for mass production.
  • Collaborating with our compliance team to ensure accurate safety warnings and age grading appear on all packaging.
  • Supporting the design and artwork of the annual Bigjigs Toys catalogues
  • Assisting with image preparation for packaging and web.
  • Contributing to digital assets for social media and online platforms as needed.
