Description FLSA: Non-Exempt Pay Range: $21.25-$22.69/hour Pay Grade: 6 Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week Place: Jenny Eller Donor Center - Fresno, CA Reports To: Director of Marketing and Public Relations Work Modality: On-site Job Summary: The Graphic Designer at Central California Blood Center is both a creator and a storyteller, responsible for bringing bold ideas to life across every platform where CCBC communicates. This role blends vision with hands-on execution, producing original visuals that inspire donors, engage staff, and elevate the CCBC brand. From advertising campaigns and donor outreach to leadership communications, internal culture initiatives, and website updates, the Graphic Designer ensures that every design reflects CCBC’s mission and values with creativity, clarity, and impact. Essential Job Duties: Conceive and develop original creative concepts that inspire donors externally and engage staff internally, ensuring every design reflects CCBC’s mission and values. Design and produce high-quality visuals across multiple platforms, including advertising, social media, digital assets, print collateral, motion graphics, event signage, newsletters, presentations, internal communication tools, and website updates. Serve as a visual storyteller, creating designs that spark action in the community while also strengthening organizational culture and staff connection. Collaborate across the organization to deliver creative solutions that support donor recruitment, donor services, client services, employee engagement, leadership communications, and community outreach. Elevate and evolve the CCBC brand by balancing innovation with consistency, ensuring a modern and unified visual identity across all external and internal channels. Manage multiple design projects from concept through execution, meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of originality and technical quality. Approach design challenges with creativity and problem-solving, developing solutions that effectively communicate key messages. Prepare flawless production-ready files for both print and digital use, coordinating with vendors and ensuring accuracy in all deliverables. Stay current with design trends and tools, experimenting with new approaches to keep CCBC’s creative output fresh, relevant, and impactful. This position may require filming, editing, and producing video content to support marketing and communication initiatives. Help maintain and organize the digital asset library to ensure efficiency and accessibility of creative materials across the organization. Requirements Required Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma, required Associates degree in graphic/art design, animation designs or similar type education required, Bachelors’ degree preferred. One year graphic design experience in dedicated graphic design role required. Must have a valid California driver’s license, and a clean driving history with no major violations in the last five years Skills: Proficient skills in design software programs (Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, InDesign, etc.) Detail-oriented and a quick learner Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure of tight deadlines Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously & independently Ability to travel to drives and CCBC facilities as necessary The Central California Blood Center is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
