Description

A LITTLE ABOUT US

At Edge Impact, we’re a team of passionate, collaborative, experienced sustainability experts who partner with leading multi-national businesses across a wide range of industries to pursue the critical shared mission where unsustainable is unthinkable.
As an Edger you’ll have the chance to work with an amazing team of like-minded humans to generate a major positive influence on the world.
The role and why you’ll love working with us.
As a Graphic Designer at Edge Impact, you’ll collaborate with our team of sustainability and communication experts to transform complex technical content into clear, accessible, and visually engaging design. From carbon and climate to circularity and human rights, your creative work will directly shape how businesses and communities engage with the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges.
This role is ideal for a mid-career designer ready to take the next step and use their design talent to drive real-world change. You’ll join a values-driven company with a collaborative culture and strong purpose—and have the chance to work across impactful projects that span data visualisation, branded assets, and technical publications.
This is a national role and ideally based in Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide, but we’re open to other Australian locations for the right candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of professional graphic design experience—ideally in publishing, communications, sustainability, or consulting.
  • Proven ability to translate technical or data-heavy content into clear, visually appealing design.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and confident use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (Excel, Power BI) and accessible design standards is highly valued.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent layout, formatting, and version control skills.
  • Self-starter with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • A passion for sustainability and ethical business, with a desire to make a positive impact through design.
  • Tertiary qualifications in graphic design, visual communication, or related fields. Additional training in sustainability a bonus.

  • If you meet a number of the requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
Our Talent Acquisition Team and Hiring Leaders kindly request no unsolicited resumes or approaches from Recruitment Agencies. Edge Impact is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.
Responsibilities
  • Design engaging, accessible visuals that communicate technical and sustainability content across reports, presentations, and digital publications.
  • Develop infographics, data visualisations, charts, icons, and diagrams that bring clarity and storytelling to complex topics
  • Design and format technical reports and documents with precision, using layout, hierarchy, and brand alignment to elevate content
  • Create reusable brand assets and templates that maintain visual consistency across channels
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, and partners to ensure content meets both communication goals and accessibility standards
  • (Bonus) Support motion design or video content if you bring animation skills or want to grow them.
