Description Summary: The Graphic Designer will play a critical role in aligning the look, tone, messaging and feel of all communications from Fantasy Springs and the Cabazon Band of Cahuilla Indians. Reporting directly to the Director of Advertising, the scope of duties will include production work, resizing and modifying current artwork, as well as creating new designs across all media platforms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Assist in the design and development of all advertising materials for print, outdoor, web and in-house collateral such as posters, invites, slot toppers, post cards, menus, rack cards and logo design. Taking concept art and applying the design to numerous pieces of a campaign. Creative copywriting and editing. Assist the Advertising Coordinator with obtaining price quotes from vendors and packaging art for delivery. Protect the integrity and consistency of the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino brand. Organizing and archiving all design projects. Basic photography as needed. Effectively resize and repurpose branded content to fit and work within multiple platforms. Follow design templates as well as create original solutions. Ensure brand consistency and quality across all production and design work. Successfully take direction from the Director of Advertising. Design projects while maintaining a superior design standard and on-time delivery. Research or communicate any needs to properly complete a project. Ability to stay on top of and research current trends in design, color, art, and photography. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to take the initiative to make suggestions on how to improve copy or design. Effectively communicate needs and find information that is required to finish a design piece. Digital photography skills. Strong typography skills. Works well with the team and is able manage time wisely. Able to juggle multiple tasks at once. Basic knowledge of web design and HTML. Video editing software knowledge a plus. Must submit to a graphic design test. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communications with a minimum of 4 years in a graphic design position. Experience within the hospitality, entertainment or gaming industry a huge plus. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have outstanding technical skills with Adobe Creative Suite. Mac proficient. Basic knowledge of web design and HTML preferred. Video editing software knowledge a plus. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. This employee is occasionally on the casino floor and may be exposed to second-hand smoke and moderate levels of noise.
