Description

Arillic, a fast-growing federal contractor supporting high-impact DoD and civilian agencies, is seeking a Graphic Designer to provide full-spectrum visual communications support to the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (MRDC) Public Affairs Office at Fort Detrick, MD.
This role blends creative strategy, technical precision, and mission-driven design to shape the visual identity of MRDC programs, visits, and outreach campaigns.
This position is full-time and contingent upon contract award. Active Secret security clearance is required at the time of application.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Active Secret clearance
  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design, multimedia, or visual communications
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects)
  • Ability to design for both print and digital platforms (508-compliant PDFs, web graphics, etc.)
  • Proven experience creating clean, professional branding materials for federal or DoD audiences
  • Familiarity with 508 accessibility compliance for web and print design
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams to develop militarily relevant concepts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working within federal or military environments
  • Knowledge of DoD visual standards and public affairs operations
  • Familiarity with digital animation or video overlay graphics
  • Experience supporting scientific or medical communications
  • Familiarity with digital asset management and content libraries

  • Design and publish a wide range of high-quality visual materials, including:
  • Brochures, flyers, logos, templates, digital animations, posters, trade show exhibits, and internal publications
  • Ensure all digital products meet 508-accessibility standards and alt-text tagging requirements
  • Maintain an organized and relevant image library, and support photo repository management
  • Edit PowerPoint decks for brand consistency and visual impact
  • Regularly propose new creative concepts and collaborate with Arillic and MRDC teams
  • Act as the on-site point of contact for graphics support, ensuring high-quality outputs in a deadline-driven environment
