Hames Sharley is a national interdisciplinary design practice specialising in Architecture, Interior Design, Town Planning and Urban Design. Our mission is to create sustainable and inclusive places that enable communities to flourish.

We're looking for an experienced Graphic Designer who takes pride in craft and doesn't mind getting deep into a complex document. This role can be based in either our Brisbane or Perth studio, we welcome applications from candidates in both locations.

Our Brand & Communications team produces the materials that represent some of Australia's most significant built environment projects, including capability statements, award submissions, presentations, and reports that go in front of government clients, procurement panels, and industry peers.

This role sits at the centre of that output. Day to day, you'll be managing large, multi-section InDesign documents, coordinating content from project directors and studio leaders, and making sure everything that leaves the practice looks considered and on-brand. You'll also turn your hand to social media assets, email graphics, and template development, but the heart of this role is producing polished documents that reflect our position as market leaders in innovative, people-centric design.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and produce high-quality graphic design outputs across digital and print, including capability statements, award submissions, project sheets, presentations, reports, and social media assets.
• Ensure all design deliverables are consistent with Hames Sharley's brand guidelines and visual identity standards.
• Collaborate with marketing, business development, and project teams to understand briefs and deliver design solutions that effectively communicate key messages.
• Contribute to the development and evolution of brand assets, templates, and design systems for use across the practice.
• Maintain design file libraries and asset management systems.
• Handle sensitive data with discretion and integrity.
• Manage multiple concurrent design projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders to meet deadlines.

The following qualifications & experience will support your success in this role:

• A relevant degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication
• 3–6 years of professional experience (within the built environment industry is beneficial)
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (InDesign essential)
• Confidence with Microsoft Office templates
• A sharp eye for typography and layout
