REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified at level 2 in English and Maths.
  • Degree-level qualification in graphic design or relevant creative qualification.
  • Knowledge and experience of print, working with different print mediums, formats and specifications.
  • Experience of identifying appropriate print and design solutions for a range of briefs to a budget and deadline.
  • Experience of managing multiple design projects against challenging deadlines.
  • Desirable experience of contributing and maintaining an organisation’s visual brand across multiple channels, ensuring consistency and quality control.
  • Previous experience within a graphic design role.
  • A proven track record, evidenced by a creative portfolio, of producing high quality and engaging promotional materials for a range of briefs and formats including print and online.
  • Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
  • Desirable ability to capture, edit and produce video and animated content for use online and on social media channels.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a creative and strategically minded Graphic Designer to join our Marketing Team. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and delivering the visual identity of the College across print and digital channels. You will play a key part in enhancing the College’s brand presence, supporting student recruitment, and driving audience engagement through compelling design.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop creative concepts and assets across digital and print channels, including prospectuses, social media content, advertising, external signage, posters, flyers, videos, animations, website content, and branded merchandise.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of the College’s visual brand across all market and sub-market groups, ensuring consistency through robust quality control processes.
  • Ensure the College’s branded content (both online and offline) is aligned and cohesive at every customer touchpoint through effective coordination and clear communication.
  • Collaborate with external creative partners (e.g. photographers, videographers, animators) to ensure high-quality project delivery and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Prepare artwork for print and liaise with print suppliers to ensure quality, consistency, and delivery within deadlines.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure design needs are met and relationships are professional and productive.
  • Maintain a well-organised library of creative assets, including artwork, photography, and video content, to ensure easy access and retrieval.
  • Manage multiple design projects concurrently, delivering on time while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to generate innovative creative solutions that support campaign goals and engage target audiences.
  • Lead or support user testing and focus groups with key customer segments to gather insights and inform continuous improvement.
  • Proactively research design trends and emerging technologies to ensure the College’s creative output remains fresh, modern, and relevant.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality College events, including recruitment events, award ceremonies, and student celebrations, through the creation of engaging visual assets.
