PRIMARY FUNCTION The Graphic Designer plays a central role in shaping the visual identity of the St Hugh’s Vientiane College. This position supports the creation of high-quality digital and print materials for the College -wide communication, marketing, and promotional campaigns. Designing posts for college’s social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, etc. to improve reaching the number of people that interact in our course. The role works closely with the Marketing Team, Admissions, Academic Departments, and College Programme Leaders to develop clear, engaging, and visually consistent materials. KEY ACCOUNTABILITY Creative Design & Brand Development Create high-quality graphics for brochures, banners, flyers, presentations, handbooks, and other promotional materials. Support branding and visual communication across the College, maintaining a unified and professional visual identity. Develop creative concepts that reflect the values and personality of the College. Produce templates and graphic assets to support internal and external communications. Programme-Specific Design Support Develop promotional materials tailored to NUCK and BUV Pathway Programmes, highlighting programme strengths and student opportunities. Produce branded materials for CPD, Short Courses, Language Programmes (English and Chinese) and others as related. Assist academic and programme leaders with visual resources, such as curriculum guides, infographics, and learning visuals. Digital Content Production Create graphics for social media campaigns, website content, digital newsletters, online adverts, and multimedia stories. Work closely with the Digital & Content Creator to ensure consistency in messaging and visual identity across all online platforms. Support photo editing, basic video editing, and layout design when required. Collaboration and Communication Coordinate with the Head of Marketing & Communication and Digital & Marketing Team Lead to plan and execute creative content for events, admissions campaigns, and programme promotions. Work with Admissions, Academic Teams, Pathway Coordinators, and College Managers to deliver design solutions that meet departmental objectives. Communicate effectively with staff to ensure clarity in design briefs and project outcomes. Manage multiple design projects, prioritising deadlines and ensuring timely delivery. Technical and Production Duties Prepare design files for printing and liaise with printers, suppliers, and vendors. Maintain an organised library of design files, brand assets, templates, and media resources. Ensure all creative work aligns with the brand guidelines of the College. Keep updated on creative trends, new design tools, and innovative visual techniques to enhance the quality of college communications. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Essential Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field. Demonstrated portfolio showcasing strong design skills across digital and print media. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). Experience producing designs for social media, websites, and multimedia content. Strong layout, typography, and branding skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Desirable Experience working in an international school, college, or educational organisation. Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or motion graphics tools. Basic video editing or animation experience. Understanding of marketing principles and campaign design.
