Description
The Graphic Designer works as part of the Web Development Team and reports to the Team Manager. His specific tasks are as follows: ● Design web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials; ● Create these materials by hand or by using technology, including computer software programs: Adobe's Creative Suite—including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and more; ● Meet with web designers to gain an understanding of what they want their proposed web pages to look like. Create or incorporate illustrations, pictures, and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of the communications; ● Select type size and style to enhance the readability of text and image; ● Produce drafts for review by clients and make revisions based on the feedback received; ● Review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect client specifications. Study design briefs and determine requirements; ● Conceptualize visuals based on requirements; ● Prepare rough drafts and present ideas; ● Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software; ● Use the appropriate colors and layouts for graphics; ● Work with copywriters and creative director to produce the final design; ● Amend designs after feedback; ● Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand; ● Post content to various Web 2.0, audio, text and myriad other social media Platforms; ● Log posts to appropriate spreadsheets; ● Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, internal company announcement videos, external promotional social videos, product marketing videos, recruiting videos, corporate training and other enterprise-wide projects; ● Script, storyboard, budget, allocate resources and select optimal forms of media for projects; ● Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables; ● Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content; ● Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media; ● Other tasks assigned. Requirements Requirements 3 years of experience as a graphics designer or in a similar role. Mastery of graphic design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premier Pro, etc. Knowledge of video and audio editing software programs is a big plus. Solid knowledge of design and visual principles. Demonstrated portfolio showing creative, design, and software skills. Ability to evaluate choices critically, with the customer's needs in mind. Ability to communicate design choices clearly. Ability to take and follow directions, while also having a creative eye for improvements. Good time-management skills. Great interpersonal and communication skills. Great multi-tasking skills and ability to work under pressure. General understanding of computers and digital equipment and knowledge of new and cutting-edge technology.
