WE ARE LOOKING FOR A TALENTED GRAPHIC DESIGNER (PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT) TO WORK ON A CONTRACT PROJECT.

We are an experienced giftware company looking at developing a new giftware and apparel line featuring wildlife. The graphic designer will be responsible for designing wildlife designs for a cohesive line of home, kitchen, gifts and souvenir items.
This position can be in-office, hybrid, or remote, with preference given to candidates based in British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven design skills with a knack for getting your art to stand out
  • Technical design skills, including typography, vectorizing, and photo editing.
  • Knowledge and experience in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro.
  • Experience working with designing and developing consumer products is a plus
  • Possess at least 5 years’ professional experience in product design
  • Understanding of consumer market trends.
  • Understanding of product development and manufacturer relations and customizations.
  • Efficient, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
    This is a contract position with the opportunity to grow into a part-time or full-time position.

Responsibilities
  • Creating wildlife art that will be used in new product concepts.
  • Capturing the designs’ full beauty by developing a product line to showcase the art – products can include, but are not limited to t-shirts, hats, mugs, stickers, etc.
  • Understanding and working within the production process and possessing the ability to work with product design and development elements.
  • Working with manufacturers to ensure products are ready for market.
  • Creating product packaging and supporting marketing.
  • Maintaining high levels of organization and file management, professionalism, and internal communications with our team.
