Description

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in graphic design for print
  • Experience in design/creative environment
  • A broad range of design capabilities including a solid background in print.
  • Design for digital media would be a major advantage but not a necessity
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, and the capability of concurrently managing multiple projects
  • Strong focus and high levels of attention to detail
  • Solid presentation, listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong team player but also self-driven, proactive and motivated
  • Preparing and submitting finished artwork for print
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: €30,000.00-€40,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

The Graphic Design department plays a key role in the interaction on a daily basis with clients. Design is one of Snaps key services and the Design team offer creative solutions to meet client needs. Graphic designers must be proficient in the use of the Adobe Suite of products, in particular; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat. Designers form a critical link in the supply chain from interactions with the Sales Department, clients and production. Ensuring always that a quality product is delivered – ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to, a creative solution is provided, approval is received, and the end product delivers what the client envisaged.
Graphic Designers need to show professionalism in interactions with clients and offer their professional input [value add] to ensure the client gets the best possible result.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and interpret work dockets instructions.
  • Establishing project design in consultation with colleagues and clients
  • Create design work/ Pre-Print requirements as specified by the sales team and client instructions
  • Participating in design briefing meetings clients as required.
  • Develop an understanding of client’s brand guidelines and adhere to them
  • Ensure all design files are saved and backed up in accordance with company procedures
  • Managing your time so that the studio schedule is adhered to. Ensure design time is logged on management system and job tracking updated.
  • Understand customer needs and advise of other products and services which could suit their current or future needs.
  • Ensure all jobs are correctly proofed (all changes made, spec as per docket, emailed to correct person. And that approval is got prior to processing for print.
  • Flight-checking supplied artwork
  • Prepare and process artwork for sending to outsource partners.
  • Contributing creatively to local marketing initiatives
  • Promote a high-performing culture with drive for execution.
  • Encourage a positive working environment and promote open communication and engagement. Lead/engage in meetings in a productive fashion.
  • At all times promote a good image of the Company [Present professional image through meetings, phone calls, email and communication].
  • Perform other tasks as required.
