Role Overview Reporting directly to the Team Lead, Visual Communication Design, the Graphic Designer manages graphic design tasks, refining projects and drafts, and generating creative ideas.  The role includes collaborating directly with a larger team of marketing professionals to artfully develop and execute new visual concepts within our existing visual framework and partners with key stakeholders to establish Stantec’s position in multiple target markets. The heart of this position consists of the following three core responsibilities. Brand Application: Elevate our brand to achieve creative and iconic design solutions; Design Discipline: Implement design best practices across disciplines; and Task Management: Coordinate with marketing and design peers to complete all tasks efficiently. The Graphic Designer is an ambassador of the brand and applies all three of these core responsibilities with equal importance. The role also includes working with a larger Stantec team of Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations professionals to build brand awareness and identify market opportunities for top line growth. Your Key Responsibilities Brand Application: •    Create and execute a portfolio of design projects from templates and established design programs  •    Ensures all work aligns with brand guidelines and overall design direction  •    Thoughtfully incorporates feedback from internal clients and design and marketing leadership, and responds with several options  •    Act as a marketing photography contact as required  •    Ensure work is correct and consistently complete quality reviews of their work  •    Use the Resource Library as an archive for all promotional/brand awareness projects     Design Discipline: •    Actively collaborates and participates in the design team; design meetings, professional development, design peer partnerships •    Shares in-progress and completed work with design leadership for brainstorming and feedback •    Works with the design/marketing team to educate internal clients on brand guidelines and design best practices •    Conducts ongoing benchmarking to stay on top of industry trends, competitor branding and campaigns  •    Share insight on the implementation of brand standards with the Director, Brand & Design Task Management: •    Manage and complete all work on time, error-free; reporting status of projects to supervisors •    Coordinate with marketing and design peers, and supervisor to create a schedule of work •    Seek input proactively and engage others for contributions; conducting meetings to understand needs/scope of a project  •    Organize tasks, prioritize, and successfully juggling multiple projects and priorities •    Expertly link short timeframes with high-quality work •    Move projects through production, liaison with external vendors if required (print, etc.)     Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting.
