JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Graphic Designer who has a solid understanding of machine operations, specifically UV printing, plotter cutter, and lamination machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing visually compelling graphics, while also managing the operation of specialized printing and finishing equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about both design and production processes.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in Graphic Design: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or other relevant design software.
• Experience with Printing and Cutting Machines: Knowledge of operating UV printing, plotter cutters, and lamination machines is essential.
• Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and quality, ensuring designs are accurately executed through production.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery and design files during the production process.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with teams and clients.
• Education: A degree or certification in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
• Experience: Previous experience in a production-based graphic design role is highly desirable.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with UV printing, plotter cutter, and lamination machines.
• Knowledge of color theory and print production techniques.
• Ability to create mockups and pre-press files for printing processes.

• Graphic Design: Create and design high-quality graphics for a variety of mediums, including print, digital, and promotional materials.
• Machine Operation: Operate and maintain UV printing, plotter cutter, and lamination machines. Ensure all equipment is running efficiently and safely.
• Design to Production Workflow: Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are transferred correctly to the machines and meet quality standards.
• Quality Control: Monitor and inspect finished products for quality and consistency, ensuring they meet customer specifications.
• Material Management: Ensure that proper materials are used for printing, cutting, and lamination, and maintain inventory of consumables.
• Troubleshooting: Address any issues related to the design files, machinery, or materials, and troubleshoot minor technical problems to minimize downtime.
• Project Management: Handle multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to production, ensuring deadlines are met.
