Position Summary Under the direction of the Art Manager, the Graphics Pre-Press Technician processes customer files, pre-flights jobs, and prepares them for imaging directly to plate, ensuring the highest quality and accuracy in all printed products. Key Responsibilities Receive and pre-flight customer files following departmental procedures. Verify trapping, overprinting, color corrections, image resolution, and file setup. Convert files to CMYK and make necessary corrections to meet customer specs. Output and check proofs for accuracy prior to plate imaging. Confirm customer sign-offs before production. Archive completed jobs for future use. Communicate effectively with Sales, Customer Service, and Production teams to resolve issues. Participate in cross-functional teams to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Maintain technical competency with evolving graphics and printing technologies. Complete all required documentation accurately and on time. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts or related field, or equivalent experience. 2–5 years of pre-press or printing industry experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Mac OS and design/pre-press software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.). Understanding of printing tolerances, color theory, and CMYK processes. Excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail. Ability to read and use a ruler, interpret specs, and perform basic math (fractions, decimals). Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a self-managed team environment.
