Description Primary Functions 2D Design/layout mechanical and electrical drawings used in control panels. 3D Drawings for plastic housings, machined bezels and molded rubber. Designing and creating graphic layouts per customer specification. Select and/or specify materials and components with engineering. Maintain accurate and current documentation packages. Work within a structured environment. Building documentation that supports customer product requirements. Key Metrics & Competencies Proven high level performance of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, 3D and Illustrator. In addition to visually and analytically taking an idea, seeing through layers and putting dimensions to it while understanding tolerance and exercising great detail. We cannot over emphasize the attention to detail and accuracy required. Other Duties & Responsibilities Quoting of new product design and building a BOM from customer concept Supervisory Responsibility None Required Education and/or Equivalent Experience BSME or an Associated Degree with equivalent training and experience. Minimum of 5+ yrs. working with AutoCAD & SolidWorks Previous experience or knowledge of fabrications, machining, molding, graphics and assembly process Preferred Education and/or Equivalent Experience Electrical and PCB Design experience 3-5 yrs working in AutoCAD & SolidWorks, 3D and Illustrator Building & testing prototypes experience.
