Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Graphics Programming Intern to join our high-performance team in San Diego, CA. This is a Summer 2026 internship. As a summer Graphics Programming Intern, you’ll collaborate with engineers, animators, and designers to improve the tools that power the game. What You’ll Do Work with C++ and Python to support asset management, grooming, creation, and visualization tools. Expand in-game editor features using C++. Write unit tests and formalize existing game code to improve quality and reliability. What You’ll Gain How engineers, animators, and designers collaborate in a professional studio. Hands-on experience with game engine programming methods and concepts. Practical problem-solving in linear algebra, geometry, and vector math. Real-world development workflows, from writing efficient code to testing game features. What We’re Looking For Current enrollment in an accredited university Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with graduation expected between Spring 2026 and Summer 2026. Knowledge of C, C++, and Python (ImGui experience is a plus). Understanding of STL data structures and algorithms. Strong background in mathematics (linear algebra, geometry, vector math). Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well on a team. Self-motivated and eager to take initiative. Eligibility Students with expected graduation between December 2026 and Spring 2027 from an accredited university. Advanced Degree - Master’s Able to work during one of the following periods: May 18th - August 7th or June 15th - September 4th. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates. Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period.
