Description The City of Zion is seeking Grass Cutters who are excited to maintain the beauty of the city. This is a great summer opportunity available May through October. DEPARTMENT: Building HOURS: 7:00am TO 3:30pm Monday through Friday QUALIFICATIONS: · Minimum of 16 years of age · Knowledge of operating lawn equipment including lawn mower, trimmer, leaf blower and other equipment. · Ability to work outside during inclement weather DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Mowing grass and weeds. · Edging and trimming grass and weeds. · Blowing grass and weed clippings · Cleaning/Picking up grass and weeds. · Capable of following directions and completing tasks. · Perform any other duties and projects as assigned. All qualifying applicants shall be interviewed by the Building Department Director along with a transitional meeting with the Human Resources Manager. The City will fill the vacancy by selecting the most qualified applicants. Successful candidates must complete and pass a background check, a pre-employment physical and a drug screen.

Responsibilities

The Grass Cutters will be responsible for mowing grass and weeds, edging and trimming, and cleaning up clippings. They will also perform any other duties as assigned.
