Description

Wilco Contractors Northwest Inc. is seeking qualified Class 1 and 3 Drivers with extensive experience hauling top soil, gravel, and aggregates, in confined residential areas. You will work closely with our team of skilled professionals to ensure timely delivery of materials using safe driving practices. This is a seasonal position, Monday through Saturday, Local to the Edmonton and area.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess a Class 1 or 3 driver’s license
  • Clean Drivers Abstract
  • Experience driving a Gravel Truck or tandem required
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and procedures related to driving and equipment operation
  • Safety-oriented mindset with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Tech savvy, comfortable using an iPhone or android (app) Nektar
  • Experience Loading and Hauling Equipment is an asset
Responsibilities
  • Haul materials to various work sites in Edmonton and the surrounding area in a timely and safe manner
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient and timely deliveries
  • Knowledge of truck routes and City of Edmonton
  • Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks
  • Perform pre-trip- en route- and post-trip inspections utilizing app (Nektar)
  • Maintain accurate logs of materials and deliveries
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ability to self load with skid steer and loader an asset
  • Follow all traffic regulations and company driving policies and procedures
  • Ensure proper securing of all loads prior to transport
  • Communicate effectively with team members, superiors, and clients
