SUMMARY

The Green Lending Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the credit union’s Green Lending program, which focuses on financing environmentally sustainable projects and energy-efficient solutions. This role involves strategizing, marketing, and monitoring lending initiatives that align with the organization’s commitment to environmental stewardship, while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Environmental Studies, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of lending experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of sustainable financing practices, energy-efficient solutions, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to develop and manage lending programs.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Detroit, MI 4820

• Design and implement the Green Lending program, including defining product offerings such as solar panel financing, electric vehicle loans, and energy-efficient home upgrades.
• Lead and mentor a team, including Green Lending Underwriters, to ensure efficient program execution.
• Work with marketing, compliance, and lending teams to promote the Green Lending program and ensure it meets member needs.
• Build relationships with external organizations, vendors, and government agencies to stay updated on trends and incentives in green financing.
• Analyze program performance, generate reports, and provide insights to executive leadership to refine and enhance offerings.
• Oversee compliance with lending policies, environmental regulations, and credit union standards.
• Develop educational resources and host workshops to inform members about green financing benefits and opportunities.
