Description Position Summary Responsible for all aspects of golf course maintenance, including mowing and maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, rough, bunkers pro shop grounds, and overall course irrigation. Essential Functions Ensures the proper grounds maintenance of assigned Chinook Winds Casino Resort grounds. Operates, maintains, and cleans various types of grounds-keeping tools and equipment. Operates machinery required to maintain grounds. Mows lawns and trims/edges around walkways, flower beds, walls, and/or other assigned areas. Fertilizes lawns, shrubs, and trees; assists in applying pesticides and herbicides. Prunes trees and shrubbery; deadheads bedding plants. Rakes, edges, and cleans bunkers. Assists with irrigation systems installation and maintenance. Serves as nighttime water-person as directed. Performs weeding of flowerbeds, pathways, and/or other designated areas. Assists in sodding and course construction projects. Plants bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees. Sweeps and maintains parking lots; cleans up spills; picks up trash and debris from grounds. Knows and complies with all safety and security regulations and procedures. Maintains good rapport and open communication with peers and other hospitality departments. Presents friendly attitude towards all guests; is aware of all services and activities happening at Chinook Winds Casino Resort to be able to field questions presented by guests. Reports to supervisor and maintenance any potential security/safety threat posed within the guestrooms or common areas of the Resort. Performs other duties as assigned. Other Requirements Knowledge of landscaping maintenance and chemical use such as pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. Familiar with mathematics of chemical application.
