Job Description Join our team at the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course as a Greenskeeper and play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and quality of our world-renowned golf course. As a Greenskeeper, you will work in a stunning natural setting, ensuring that the course remains in pristine condition, providing an exceptional golfing experience for our guests. Starting Rate: $19.91 per hour We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $21.99. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to stay the entire season of April 8 to October 15. Job Duties Include: Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendents, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service Cutting grasses with a wide variety of self propelled and push type machines Smoothing bunker sand with hand rakes and machines Setting the golf course for play Labor intensive work in the form of digging, lifting, pushing, walking fast, and assorted tasks Qualifications Your Skills & Qualifications: Previous Turf Care, Gardening or Landscaping experience is an asset Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a 5 year drivers abstract dated within 30 days Perform tasks under minimal supervision Knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in grounds and landscape maintenance work Understanding of the rules of golf Ability to work in a team and independently Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shift Lifting & Carrying up to 70 lbs. Pushing & Pulling up to 50 lbs.
