We need a part time technician that can perform on a high level of accuracy and efficiency. A Technician will have a strong understanding and will demonstrate the ability to work on gas-powered engines. This individual will be extremely familiar with repairing and rebuilding engines, transmissions, drive line and differentials. Our Auto Mechanics are responsible for providing dependable service in a timely manner while maintaining exceptional customer service. We offer: VERY COMPETITIVE PAY VERY LARGE FACILITY WITH MULTIPLE BAYS Responsibilities Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards Test-drives vehicles and tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs automotive transmissions and related systems Communicates directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications Willingness to learn with hands-on training Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications ASE Certification or Graduated from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repair preferred Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of engines (gas and diesel), power train to include differentials, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, PTO's , wheel ends, electrical systems including starters and alternators, HVAC systems, steering systems, electronics to include ECM's, ECU's, sensors, engine bolt-on items such as turbos, fan clutches, injectors, cooling system, brake systems including ABS, suspension systems, complete assemblies, turbo chargers and fuel systems Strong knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance Have working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment and lift operation Must be able to read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress Must have a valid driver's license Benefits Competitive Pay Employee Purchase and Service Discounts Ongoing Training and Education State of the Art Facility with a Professional Working Environment
