Job Objective Create an exceptional dining experience for the guests by exhibiting remarkable personal and professional skills and providing exceptional service in a casual and fine dining environment. Responsibilities Responsibilities & Tasks Provide an extraordinary hospitality experience. Maintains a sense of arrival at the host stand when guests arrive Present Lovango guests with an incredible first impression Wear a complete clean, designated, wrinkle free uniform and name tag Assist in the setting of the dining room, clearing and resetting tables, and refilling water glasses as directed by management All guests are greeted within 5 seconds of arrival Remember and recognize repeat guests Ensures guests feel welcomed and attended to Accommodate to guest needs in a timely manner Ensures that the restaurant is clean and always organized Works with the front desk and management to set-up, confirm, and organizes restaurant reservations through our reservation system Promotes a professional, helpful and courteous work environment Confirm number in party and escort guests to appropriate tables Helps servers by offering water service (tap, bottle still, or sparkling) Informs service team of special requests for reservations Attends pre-shift in uniform ready to go for service Maintains a clean, neat, organized and well-manicured host stand and dining room. Opening and closing procedures are followed each shift Guests are kept properly informed of wait times Follows proper guest seating and distribution of tables Promotes bar and bar dining when on a wait Assist servers and front desk with take-out orders when necessary Continuously checks dining room & restrooms to ensure cleanliness standards are met Keeps all menus, wine lists and promotional items current, clean and organized. Ensures ambiance guidelines are followed throughout the restaurant Demonstrates good organizational skills Exhibits job and product knowledge sufficient to provide guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, wine, service, and resort information Exhibits self- confidence to the degree necessary to handle a variety of situations in a positive and professional manner Exhibits a positive attitude when speaking about guests and fellow employees Policies and Procedures Alcohol awareness program is strictly enforced Ensures all measures are taken to prevent virus and bacteria spread Management is involved in all guest and employee altercations All situations involving illegal substances needs to be reported to management Harassment of any type will not be tolerated Complies with all aspects of the Little Gem Resorts Handbook including time & attendance No smoking or vaping near or around guests Qualifications Qualifications Excellent people skills and outgoing personality. Team player. Maintains a current state health card permit Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs. Ability to move up to 150 lbs., with wheeled assistance. Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule. Must be a service minded individual with a positive attitude who truly enjoys helping others. Must be quick on their feet and adept at handling stressful situations seamlessly. Must be computer literate. Must be able to handle criticism. Ability to move throughout a crowded room to seat guests. Ability to use various office equipment, including, but not limited to, computers, calculators, photocopiers and facsimile machines. Prior Food & Beverage experience required. High school diploma preferred. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Ability to obtain Food Service Sanitation certification. First Aid and CPR certification preferred. All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available). Ability to converse with guests and employees in English. Successful applicants will pass pre-employment background check and must be able to satisfy mandated I-9 Document from Homeland Security. Please note our season is from December - End of July. All employees must be available for the full season.
Responsibilities
The greeter is responsible for providing an exceptional first impression by welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring the dining room and host stand remain organized.
