Job Description Summary As part of the internship program, you’ll work on meaningful projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop your leadership and communication skills and learn the GE Vernova way within your assigned function. Internship for Grid Automation & Software, this role offers hands-on experience with the GA&S technologies, products, solutions, services and projects. Job Description Key Responsibilities Collaborate on enhancing existing Grid Automation & Software solutions and developing new, commercially viable features. Solve real-world industry and customer challenges using a mix of electrical engineering principles, physics, and AI/ML techniques. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Engineering, or a master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, with a thesis focus on Electrical Power Systems, Protection, and Control. Minimum cumulative or in-major 3.0/4.0 GPA. Must be willing to work in office as well sites. Must commit to working full time (40 hrs./wk.) during the internship in summer. Desired Characteristics You thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments where innovation drives solutions to complex energy challenges. You bring hands-on experience & great ideas in developing innovative solutions, driving improvement in field services activities and project management. You're familiar with grid automation technologies and standards (IEC). You have foundational knowledge of power system concepts such as fault detection, and grid stability.
