The Grief and Loss Administrator will provide administrative, resourcing and procedural support to the Grief and Loss Program. The program engages members of the community to provide support along their grief journey through participation. Working with a team of Volunteers that are upskilled in community program delivery, be a part of a delivering an impactful community program. Please Note: This role is a 2 day per week, part-time permanent position. Your part in our UnitingCare team: Promote the Grief and Loss program Provide administration support to the Grief and Loss staff (Mission Team) via event management, travel bookings, organising meetings, shared inbox management Expense claims as related to the program Create engaging newsletters Manage Technical aspects of Microsoft Teams meeting for online Grief and Loss Groups Respond to telephone and written enquiries from individuals seeking bereavement support, providing accurate information about available groups with empathy, sensitivity, and understanding. Provide administration support including but not limited to onboarding and offboarding volunteers, payment of invoices and requesting of invoices Initiate, consult and nurture key stakeholder relationships with internal UCQ departments and other external organisations in furthering and promoting the work of the Mission Directorate What makes a difference for us? Current Drivers Licence Qualifications in Administration, Business or a related discipline Demonstrated experience in general office administration including intermediate knowledge and use of computer software packages e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Canva, Better Impact Proven ability to manage the technical aspects of Microsoft Teams meetings, e.g. operating breakout rooms, sharing documents, and resolving minor technical issues Demonstrated ability to communicate empathetically and with compassion (both verbally and written) when supporting individuals experiencing grief and loss, particularly in sensitive, first-point-of-contact situations. Demonstrated ability to source, collate, and organise content – including articles, data and visuals to create engaging newsletters, while contributing creatively and collaboratively to enhance overall impact and audience engagement.
