The Grill Cook performs culinary job duties and maintains a clean, organized and professional work area/environment at all times. To ensure our guests receive the highest standards of quality of food taste and presentation. Help train new staff members to meet HGVC standards. Order food stock from the storeroom as needed, prepare back up stock and prep according to menu specs. Work Schedule: The primary shift is from1:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday and one additional day, totaling two - three days per week.. Please note that the schedule may vary based on business needs. Additional Responsibilities: Keep track of meal preparation components to ensure timely completion of final dishes Chopping and preparing vegetables and other non-meat ingredients. Check perishable ingredients and food items for freshness Prepares, seasons and cook starches, vegetables and other side hot food items. Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe Prepare back up foods according to specs, stock and keep kitchen and all areas clean Assure that food area is keep clean and it is stored properly at the end of each shift according to health specifications Ensure that food items are ticketed and dated with employee name to ensure freshness and that stocked items are received and accounted for Record temperatures of all applicable refrigeration units and pot sink sanitizer levels. Record and report all loss of food due to spoiling and over production Responsible of all areas of the grill and pantry, preparing quality food items for customers to specifications Assist in stewarding duties: washing pots, pans, kitchen utensils, serving bowls, serving dishes and kitchen equipment Maintain a clean, organized and safe kitchen working area and environment Wash, clean or sanitize all work areas including refrigerator and utensils used and keep trash and boxes broken down and remove to proper area Assist with monthly inventory Carry out a reasonable request or special project by management
Responsibilities
The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to menu specifications while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Additional duties include training new staff and ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.
