Description The Grill / Fry Cook is responsible for preparing grilled and fried menu items according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety requirements. This role ensures consistent execution, proper equipment operation, and a clean, organized workstation while supporting efficient kitchen operations in a fast paced restaurant environment in compliance with Massachusetts labor and health regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Food Preparation & Execution • Prepare, cook, and plate grilled and fried menu items according to recipes and standards. • Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and related kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. • Maintain accurate cook times and temperature controls for all menu items. • Portion, arrange, and garnish food items prior to service. Kitchen Operations & Safety • Prepare and measure ingredients as required for daily service. • Monitor food quality, appearance, and freshness throughout service. • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen awareness procedures. • Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas during and at the end of each shift. Teamwork & Efficiency • Communicate effectively with kitchen team members and management. • Assist with additional kitchen tasks as needed to support service flow. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation at all times. Requirements · High school diploma or equivalent preferred. · Prior kitchen or cooking experience preferred (entry-level candidates considered). · Allergen Awareness Certification required (or ability to obtain), upfront cost is $25. · Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. · Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. · Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
