Job Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Reporting to the General Manager (GM)/Group General Manager(GGM)/Rest Manager (RM) and or assigned personnel working towards the restaurant’s annual operating goals.
  • In charge of events and sales cold calls for corporate and internal events ensuring following follow-up via email confirmations to meet customers’ expectations. Responsible for managing all in-house reservation systems, including checking and replying of all emails including upcoming reservations and updating/blocking room status for private events as well as sending event proposals .
  • Manage the Table DB reservation systems and handle event inquiries via phone, email or walk-in guest for viewing of private rooms.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to manage restaurant operations during corporate and event meal periods, ensuring that company standards and service protocols are met during all guest interactions.
  • For event operations, ensuring that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are completed for each event.
  • Communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond appropriately, and provid accurate information. Always consult with a superior when in having doubts ( no second guessing).
  • Ensuring that all steps of services as outlined in training materials, verbal or hard copy issued by the GM/GGM/RM are followed.
  • Interact positively with customers, promoting restaurant and its services.
  • Follow through for invoice billing after each event.
  • Assist in planning and setting up special events and corporate dining.
  • Ensure that risk management plans and workplace safety plans are always in place at all times.
  • Coordinate with the manager/marketing team in organizing meetings and special events as requested.
  • As a GRO-Guest Relations Officer, greet guests and serve their needs while they patronise our restaurant.
  • Organise and maintain order within the restaurant reservations area, including the logging bookings and inquiries. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Plan and coordinate all promotional activities targeting clients/ schedule activities for guests.
  • Assist the GM/GGM/RM, working towards shared goal for accountability in planning strategies to ensure that the company business plan is delivered.

Demonstrate a good knowledge of the restaurant menus and wine lists and be ready to answer any inquiries from guests.

  • Always ensure and maintain consistency in product quality presentation as set by company and GM/GGM/RM.
  • Achieve sales targets by upselling beverages and food items while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for hygiene; health, food safety , risk management and maintaining a safe environment for all employees and during deliveries.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the GM/GGM/RM, and/or assigned personnel at all times.
