Description What you’re great at: Discovering customer needs and providing service in a prompt and courteous manner. • Providing a rewarding shopping experience with accurate labeling of product shelf tags, price stickers and/or signs. Ensuring that grocery displays, aisles and storage areas are clean and in orderly condition. Effectively managing inventory by pulling back stock and re-pricing of goods, while processing new product deliveries. Sharing your working knowledge of grocery offerings and trends. • Displaying excellent interpersonal skills. A day in the life: Ensure product selection accuracy by rotating products, removing damaged or out-of-date stock, and checking codes. Ensure that unsellable items are returned or otherwise properly disposed of, following established procedures. Keep accurate shrinkage records. Manage grocery items to consistently provide in an in-stock, on-the-shelf, fully-fronted position with special attention paid to high-volume products and product categories as well as end-caps, special displays and items on sale. Provide excellent customer service to all store patrons. Participate in inventory counts. Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned. Open to working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Previous experience in natural/organic foods, grocery or retail preferred.
