Description Starting Wage: $19.06/hour Department: Grocery Reports To: Grocery Management Location: All City Market Locations Union Position UE Local 203: Non-exempt, Grade 5 Summary City Market Co-Op is seeking a Grocery Coordinator to direct the work of grocery stockers, learn the basics of buying to purchase products, while keeping all grocery areas well stocked, staffed, and maintained! Day-to-Day Duties Coordinating the Grocery team to ensure Grocery sub departments are well-stocked, rotated, clean, staffed and maintained. Learn the basic mechanics of buying to purchase products in absence of Buyers. Assisting Grocery Management in communicating policy, tracking employee performance, training, and assigning tasks to employees. Providing support to customers and staff as needed. Compliance with established City Market procedures and practices regarding operations, sales, safety, and security. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications One year of retail or supervisory experience OR two years of customer service experience required. High School diploma or GED preferred. Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry helpful.
