Description

Freshdrop Transport Services is seeking experienced Grocery Delivery Truck Drivers to join our team in Perth, WA. This role is essential to ensure the safe and timely transport of chilled, frozen and dry grocery orders for a major supermarket chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manoeuvring trucks into position for safe loading and unloading
  • Loading and unloading vehicles, including the use of lifting or tipping equipment when required
  • Following safety procedures at all times during loading, unloading and transport
  • Conducting regular checks of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition
  • Estimating and monitoring load weights to comply with legal limits and ensuring proper weight distribution
  • Securing cargo so that goods are stowed safely and protected from damage or loss in transit
  • Reviewing delivery documents, checking the condition of goods and obtaining proof of delivery
  • Recording delivery schedules and rosters using electronic devices
  • Carrying out basic vehicle maintenance and reporting any issues

Essential Requirements:

  • Current Australian ‘C’ class Driver Licence
  • Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience
  • Knowledge of safe driving, load handling and compliance with road regulations
  • Ability to work safely and meet scheduled delivery deadlines
  • Willingness to undertake on-the-job training if required
