Job Details Job Location: Castle Rock, CO 80108 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $22.00 - $26.00 Hourly Tony’s Market Job Description Title Grocery Manager Department(s) Grocery Reports to General Manager Job summary Responsible for directly supervising and coordinating all activities in the Grocery Department. Responsibilities include management tasks, such as writing schedules, purchasing, budgeting, and accounting. Summary of essential job functions Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints. Supervise activities such as product quality, quantity, placement, rotation, signage and displays. Responsible for the department appearance, cleanliness, and adherence to both government and company ordinances. Create and execute a weekly cleaning schedule. Supervise, recruit, train, coach, mentor and motivate department team members, and encourage them to take positive action and accountability for their work. Review inventory for product rotation daily to prevent shrinkage. Accurately complete paperwork and logs throughout the day (ex. shrink log, transfer log, code invoices). Oversee the receiving of grocery products and check invoices for correct product, quantity, and quality upon arrival. Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed and that it functions as advertised. Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods. Instruct staff on how to manage difficult and complicated sales. Assign employees to specific duties. Perform work activities of co-workers, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and selling merchandise. Plan and prepare work schedules and keep records of employees' work schedules and timecards. Count inventory monthly Review inventory and sales records to prepare reports for accounting and budget departments. Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level.
