Main responsibilities: * Assist the Grocery Manager with the daily operation of the Grocery Department, including Frozen, Dairy, and Liquor/Beer departments. * Supervise, train, and support department associates to ensure operational excellence and exceptional customer service. * Perform and oversee ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking, and merchandising activities. * Resolve customer concerns professionally and promote a positive shopping experience. * Assist with implementing merchandising plans, seasonal programs, and promotional initiatives. * Monitor inventory, control shrink, ensure product quality, and prevent the sale of out-of-code merchandise. * Open and close the store and ensure compliance with company safety, sanitation, and security standards. * Oversee store operations and supervise associates in the absence of the Store Director or Grocery Manager. * Handle cash management responsibilities, including accountability for register funds and related documentation. * Support emergency response procedures and maintain operational continuity during equipment or system issues.
