Description Starting Wage: $18.59/hour Department: Grocery Reports To: Grocery Management Location: All City Market Locations Union Position UE Local 203: Non-exempt, Grade 4 Summary City Market Co-Op is seeking a Grocery Shift Lead to direct the work of grocery stockers, while keeping all grocery areas well stocked, staffed, and maintained! Day-to-Day Duties Working with Grocery Shift Leads and staff, to ensure Grocery sub departments are well stocked, staffed and maintained. Assisting Grocery Management in communicating policy, tracking employee performance, training, and assigning tasks to employees. Providing support to customers and staff as needed. Compliance with established City Market procedures and practices regarding operations, sales, safety, and security. May be required to perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications One year of retail or supervisory experience OR 18 months of customer service experience required. High School diploma or GED preferred. Knowledge of natural and conventional foods and the food industry helpful.
