JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grocery Associate to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our grocery store operates smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks including stocking shelves, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. A strong emphasis will be placed on maintaining the quality of our products and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems and retail math is a plus.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely; certification may be required.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking and maintaining product displays.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 70 pounds).
• Experience in produce handling, packaging, cleaning, or maintenance tasks is advantageous.

• Stock shelves with grocery items, ensuring proper rotation and presentation of products.
• Assist in inventory management and control, utilizing RF scanners for accurate tracking.
• Load and unload products from delivery trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including aisles, storage areas, and produce sections.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and ensuring their needs are met.
• Perform cashier duties when necessary, handling transactions accurately.
• Participate in merchandising efforts to enhance product visibility and sales.
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks to ensure timely restocking of inventory.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
