OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grocery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our grocery store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining inventory levels. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively market products while adhering to budgetary constraints. A passion for the grocery industry and a commitment to providing an exceptional shopping experience are essential.

SKILLS

  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing a team.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in using Point of Sale (POS) systems for transactions and inventory tracking.
  • Knowledge of budgeting practices to manage departmental expenses effectively.
  • Ability to market products effectively to drive sales and enhance customer engagement.
  • Strong phone etiquette for effective communication with customers and vendors.
  • Experience in cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organizational skills.
  • Must have experience with a Meat department within the store. Ideally someone with Meat Deparment experience. (Butcher or Meat Cutter schooling would be a plus)
