Description Supervisor: Grooming Director Department: Grooming Position Summary: Grooming ski slopes and freestyle terrain. Reporting snow levels and conditions. Daily record keeping of grooming areas and vehicles. Job Relationships: Responsible To: Guests, Grooming Director, Maintenance Director, Director of Skiing & Snowboarding, and the General Manager. Employees Supervised: None Inter-Relationships: Work closely with the General Manager, Marketing Department, Director of Skiing & Snowboarding and Ski Patrol to better serve our guests. Duties and Responsible: Daily grooming of ski-slopes and freestyle terrain Removing snow from paths and tracks Transporting people and freight Providing motive traction for rigging Daily record keeping using the Operator Check List and Groomer Operator Log Report snow levels and conditions to the Marketing Department. Snow Reporting includes New Snow Total and Character, Temperature, Wind Speed and Direction, Precipitation, and Sky Cover, as well as any other information you think may be relevant. Monitor the function of grooming vehicles and equipment Notify the Snow Plow Driver if the drive or the parking lots need plowed. Keep grooming vehicles clean. Additional duties may be assigned Requirements Qualifications: Certification: Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Driver’s License Experience: Groomer Training and familiarity with the characteristics of the snow and operating on the snow. Other Requirements: Relate in a positive manner to co-workers and guests. Environmental Factors: Sitting for extended periods of time.
